Auto-darkening lens never needs batteries and charges when exposure to welding or sunlight (solar powered).
Darkens in 1/10,000 of a second and best of all, it has a shade adjustment control inside the helmet that allows you to adjust from a Variable Dark Shade #9 to #13, & clears to a light shade #4.
